Meet the Team

Built on Honesty.
Backed by Credentials.

M1 Roofing Group is a family-owned roofing contractor founded by Dale and Matt Manus. Between a Licensed General Contractor, a former NC Building Code Official, and a Licensed Professional Engineer, we bring a depth of expertise to every roof. How many roofing companies can say that?

We've been BBB A+ accredited since 2010 with zero complaints on file — not because we're lucky, but because we treat every homeowner the way we'd want our own family treated.

Dale Manus

NC Licensed General Contractor · Co-Founder

Dale Manus is the co-founder of M1 Roofing Group and brings over 25 years of hands-on residential and commercial construction experience to every project. A lifelong Indian Trail resident, Dale's roots in the community run deep — and his commitment to doing things right the first time is the foundation the company was built on.

Before founding M1 Roofing Group, Dale served as a North Carolina Building Code Official — a role that gave him an inside understanding of how construction projects are evaluated, inspected, and approved. That experience translates directly into the quality and compliance standards he holds every M1 job to today.

Credentials & Experience

Matt Manus, PE

Licensed Professional Engineer · NC Licensed General Contractor

Matt Manus holds BS and MS degrees in Civil / Structural Engineering from UNC Charlotte and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina. How many residential roofing companies have a PE on staff? That structural engineering background means M1 can identify and evaluate issues that go far beyond what a typical roofer is trained to see.

Matt also has structural design engineering experience with nuclear utilities, including Duke Energy, Exelon, and TVA, and international project management experience in Melbourne, Australia. He brings the same rigorous, engineering-grade standards to every residential and commercial roof M1 installs.
